La Grande Ourse is a hostel. We have rooms, dormitories, and apartments.
A new bar opened in 2018 where you can enjoy the mountain view.
When booking, you must respect our rules, such as opening hours and respecting our team and other guests. We do not allow hiking boots in the establishment; we have a room designated for this purpose (for everyone).

La Grande Ourse is located in Trient at an altitude of 1,300 meters, at the foot of two glaciers and the Col de la Forclaz.

Trient is located halfway between Chamonix and Martigny (17 km).

To confirm your reservation, we will need your complete credit card information (sent by email, WhatsApp, or a combination of both; no phone calls). No checks or deposits are accepted. Without this information, your pre-reservation will be canceled.

The reception is open from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM; please calculate your stops.

Dinner is served at 6:45 PM and breakfast is at 7:00 AM.

In the hostel, you can refresh or warm up with a drink in our bar. This is a friendly place; it's a hostel bar, not a pub. We reserve the right to refuse service if you don't control your consumption. The bar closes at 10:00 PM and the last drink is at 9:30 PM.

Our rooms and dormitories have shared bathrooms, so we have bathrooms for women and men.

Our apartments and studios have a private bathroom (shower and toilet).

In the dormitories, you will need a towel and a silk bag (mandatory).

In the rooms and apartments, a bath towel is provided.

No sales without half-board.

Pets are not allowed.

Tourist tax not included.

Massage is available 300 m from the hostel. You can make an appointment at: 00 41 77 410 56 85 (Doris).
