The Tour du Mont Blanc is a unique trek of approximately 200km around Mont Blanc that can be completed in between 7 and 10 days passing through Italy, Switzerland and France.

Hikers, climbers and mountaineers will greatly appreciate stop overs offered by refuges and gites along the Tour du Mont Blanc.

About Us

After two years implementing the project: "Around Mont Blanc" the Integrated Transborder Plan for the Mont Blanc Area (PIT EMB), the project leader, The Mixed Syndicate of the Mont Blanc Region, and partners from the 3 countries in the Mont Blanc region announced the official launch of the Tour du Mont Blanc Refuges and Gites Caretakers Association.

On the 1st December 2011, 30 caretakers of the 51 refuges and gites of the Tour du Mont Blanc met at the Centre Congrès Majestic in Chamonix for the first General Assembly of their association. This meeting took place in the presence of Mr Yann JACCAZ, Vice President of the Mixed Syndicate of the Mont Blanc Region in charge of the "Around Mont Blanc" project and Mr Jean-Louis Verdier, deputy mayor of Chamonix.

During the assembly, attendees voted to elect members for the association's administrative committee (12 members and a minimum of 3 per country) who then met alone to elect the association's board:

Secretary: Jean-Michel Romero, Mermoud Gite, Vallorcine
