The Tour du Mont Blanc is a unique trek of more than 170 km around Mont Blanc that can be completed in between 7 and 10 days passing through Italy, Switzerland and France.

Hikers, climbers and mountaineers will greatly appreciate stop overs offered by refuges and gites along the Tour du Mont Blanc.

ATTENTION - New path Charamillon / Le Tour

Attention, trail diverted for the TMB (Summer 2022)

This concerns the section of the Tour du Mont-Blanc located between the Col de Balme (Switzerland-France border) and the village of Le Tour in the Chamonix Mont-Blanc valley.

Indeed, the work currently underway for the construction and replacement of the new gondola lift requires for safety reasons

the closure to the public of :

> the carriageway between Charamillon and Le Tour

> the footpath usually mentioned on the topographical maps

A specific pedestrian route has been set up to allow hikers to access the site.

This itinerary is new and not yet referenced on the maps, but it is marked and allows the junction between Charamillon and Le Tour.

The mountain pasture gîte "Les Écuries de Charamillon" is fully open and accessible.

Have a nice walk.

Due to the current drought in various areas, we would like to ask hikers to take into consideration the possible lack of water,

and thus understand that the distribution of drinking water, as well as the unrestricted opening of toilets,

is not always possible for all hikers passing through.

Thank you for your understanding.
